Linio

Linio is a start-up backed by Rocket Internet, and the biggest e-commerce platform in Latin America. With presence in 8 countries and access to a market of over 300 million people, it connects international sellers with Latin American consumers looking for products from abroad. 

Linio engaged Studio Chow to elevate the brand image from a discount shopping destination to a vibrant, quality shopping destination, and increase mobile transactions. Working with Linio’s CEO and product team, the 1.5 month engagement included creative strategy, digital branding & visual guidelines, and mobile product design for 10 key templates.

 

Result

The redesign resulted in a 30% increase in downloads, and a 35% increase in conversion. It was named one of the "Best of 2017" in App Store, and awarded "Best mobile initiative for eCommerce" by eCommerce Award Mexico 2018.

Research & Strategy

Deep dive into Linio’s usage data, target audience needs, LatAm market & mobile behavior, and competitive landscape to craft a cohesive creative strategy. The outcome is an actionable plan where user, business, brand, and technology priorities are mapped and aligned for maximum impact.

 

Branding

Linio's vision is to revolutionize how Latin Americans shop by creating a safe, trustworthy online marketplace that make buying global goods convenient & accessible to all Latin Americans.

To pivot Linio’s image from a discount shopping destination to a vibrant, quality marketplace, we first needed to refine its brand print. By sharpening Linio’s positioning, core promise, and values,  we were able bring a fresh brand voice and visual expression to life; resulting in a branded experience that resonates with the LatAm audience and stand out against the competition.

 

Product Design

Streamlined the existing app flow to create a personalized, user friendly, branded experience that differentiate Linio from its competitors. Bold colours and typography were used to create visual hierarchy and express the transparent, vibrant nature of the brand.

10 key templates and related states were designed for Linio's mobile experience with special considerations for currency types, payment, and delivery options unique for the LatAm audience. A UI Kit and visual guidelines were created as part of the final deliverable.
