Material World was founded in 2012 as an online consignment & resell business for high-end fashion. Its mission is to eliminate fashion waste by providing quality designer cloths at fast fashion prices.
Engaged by Material World’s founder in 2012 for the beta launch of their online consignment & resell business included creative strategy, branding, and digital experience design. Studio Chow continues to collaborate with Material World to help the company launch new products such as the Discover Card redemption program (2015) & Subscription Box business (2018), and refine its brand messaging as the company evolves.

Website Redesign 2018
In 2018, Inamoto & Co engaged Studio Chow to work on the redesign of Material World’s website to focus on its subscription box business. The goal of the UX exercise is to restructure the online experience and consolidate user account functionality for a seamless user experience, and convey the message the of ‘cyclical’ economy. Responsibilities included user flows, site structure, and wireframes.
Website Redesign 2016
The goal of the redesign was two fold. Utilize existing branding, restructure the website to create clarity and sharpen the brand messaging. Introduce Fashion Trade-In Card service to the customers. The work included working through the UX flow of trade-in card redemption, content strategy, creative direction, and product design.

Working with the co-founders, define the MVP of Material Wrld product and design a visual identity and experience for the start-up's beta launch. The buzz generated by the product helped the start-up grow their customer base and attracted investors to their company.
