Engaged by Viator, a TripAdvisor company, as an independent consultant on the conceptual design and MVP definition of its new branded mobile experience.

In collaboration with Viator's head of Brand Marketing and the internal product team, the 12-week project included research, conceptual design, user journey mapping, user testing, and MVP definition.

Discovery work help define experience strategy and align with Viator’s business goals and spontaneous nature of the target audience. Work included product audit, competitor review, identify target audience needs, experience strategy & conceptual design that explores UX and visual branding.

 

Relevant, flexible, and quick to book

The goal was to create an experience that takes into account where, when, and who to serve relevant recommendations. In addition, explored ways to shorten the distance between browse and buy and take into account places with multiple activities available.

Based on discovery feedback designed two distinct direction. In collaboration with Viator created script and screens to support user testing. Results from user testing formed the backbone of the product’s MVP definition and feature prioritization.
